Thomas Luehrsen is a filmmaker and multimedia producer with a unique combination of expertise in both traditional motion pictures and interactive multimedia. His credits include award-winning CD-ROM titles such as “Exploring the Lost Maya,” “OceanLife,” and “I Photograph to Remember.” Luehrsen has produced, edited, and compressed hundreds of digital video pieces for multimedia projects and Web sites. He owns Elmwood Studios, a digital media production company. In the past, he has made films in Europe, Asia, and Hollywood. Thomas is an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) in Adobe Premiere for editing digital video.
Thomas’ book CREATING WEB VIDEO WITH ADOBE PREMIERE is a comprehensive primer on Web video. The book offers conceptual information and step-by-step instructions to guide readers through the process of shooting, editing, and encoding video for the Web. It also includes a critical look at the state of the art in this growing field, including current examples of Web video, and interviews with Web video pioneers.
There’s a lot more to learn about web Video than you’ll hear in one evening so you’ll be glad to know that Peachpit Press has graciously provided the NBMA with FIVE copies of Thomas Luehrsen’s book. We will be raffling them to those present at the end of the meeting November 14th.

Highway 101 North
Exit at Hamilton Field/Nave Dr.
Veer RIGHT at the end of the exit ramp.
Follow Nave Drive going north, parallel to 101.
Turn RIGHT at Main Gate Road, which leads into Hamilton.
At Crescent, Main Gate Road becomes Palm Drive.
Continue until you reach the Arts Center.
Turn RIGHT onto South Palm Drive.
Turn RIGHT onto Hangar Avenue.
The entrance is down the pathway between Hangar 5 and Hangar 6.
From North of Novato:
Highway 101 South
Exit at Bel Marin Keys/Hamilton Field Exit.
Turn RIGHT onto Ignacio Blvd.
After crossing the freeway, take an immediate RIGHT onto Nave Drive.
Turn LEFT at Main Gate Road, which leads into Hamilton.
At Crescent, Main Gate Road becomes Palm Drive.
Continue until you reach the Arts Center.
Turn RIGHT onto South Palm Drive.
Turn RIGHT onto Hangar Avenue.
The entrance is down the pathway between Hangar 5 and Hangar 6.
