North Bay Multimedia Association and SofTECH jointly present:
Digital Photo/Video: Top Tips to Take and Make, Manage, Compress, Email, Burn, Store Your Digital Photos and Digital Video Speakers:
|
| Thanks to the digital revolution, we are now all capable of videotaping and photographing any and all events in our lives with very little cost beyond our equipment.
But, the question we are asking is: how on earth do we manage all this digital stuff we have now recorded? And, how do we compile it in a way that we can show and send someone the highlights of it? These are some of the questions that will be covered in NBMA-SofTECHs joint Digital Photo and Video meeting on Feb. 24. And, we have just the experts to answer them. You do not need to have a specific video or still camera, editing program, computer or any other specific equipment to understand the concepts that will be discussed. There will be plenty of time to ask specific questions later on in the program for additional help. Covering the video side, Michael Wanger will offer tips on planning your shoot, shooting, editing, and distributing on tape, the Web, CD or DVD. He will cover compression and encoding issues, as well as tips for authoring DVDs. Covering the photo part of the evening, John Martin, will discuss editing concepts (such as: red-eye reduction, cropping, color balance, enhancement and image sharpening), resolution (file size and physical size) concepts for printing, emailing, burning to DVD and CD, storage issues and how to compose better photos by using the Rule of Thirds. So, if you find yourself sitting in a room with a hard drive full of video footage and still images and cannot figure out what to do next, you will not want to miss this event. Agenda
