In this month's meeting, Tom Negrino, author of the new book, Macromedia Contribute 3: Visual QuickStart Guide, returns to NBMA to show off the new features in Contribute, and to show how Contribute and the WPS can make a difference in your workflow. Contribute 3 is the latest version of Macromedia's software that allows anyone to update website content without the possibility of breaking the site. Contribute is part of the new Web Publishing System, allowing organizations to build, manage, and publish websites, as an affordable alternative to monolithic content management systems. Janet Zagoria, NBMA Program Co-Ordinator, adds: Tom Negrino always delivers an evening packed with the latest up-to-date information. I have been using his Visual Quick Start Guide for JavaScript for years and have read his Contribute 2 book. It is well worth buying his books because he explains complicated things in an easily digestible way. Corona Rivera, NBMA Web SIG Leader: Me too. NBMA Policy for People with Disabilities In order to make NBMA meetings accessible for people with disabilities, NBMA has the following policy: Any member or paying nonmember may bring an aide for free to any NBMA meeting. Aides may include a captioner, signer or any other assistant needed to make the disabled person's attendance to an NBMA meeting more comfortable and enriching. NBMA cannot pay for this service.
