Oral presentation skills should be part of every entrepreneur’s repertoire. How do you get those skills? The same way you get to Carnegie Hall-practice. It helps to know the fundamentals, too, so NBMA has invited communications consultant Douglas Becker to share his expertise with our group.

In this interactive program, Douglas will highlight the basic principles of designing a presentation and improving your delivery skills. These principles can be adapted for large or small groups, whether you’re presenting a proposal or portfolio to a client or a speech to an industry conference group.

Douglas was a member of the National Speakers Association for four years and Toastmasters International for five years. He has also coached professionals in how to design technical and marketing presentations.

If you are coming from the south, go across the freeway overpass (west) and turn LEFT at first traffic light (Northgate Drive).
If you are coming from the north, go STRAIGHT at exit traffic light (onto Northgate Drive).
You are now on a one-block-long street (Northgate Drive).
Turn LEFT at the end onto Las Gallinas.
Marin Nexus is to your left. (To your right is Northgate parking and Macy’s.)
Turn LEFT into Nexus’ driveway and park in the lot at the BACK of the building. Or use additional parking, if available, across the street in the Northgate lot.
