Or go to: www.acteva.com/go/nbma Info Contact: Janet Zagoria. The buzz of ideas flying and creativity clicking is what attracts many of us to this business. Then we have to make it happen. Then we have to find the clients. There is a comparable buzz that can occur with action, it is just harder to access. Futurists and consultants Mikela and Philip Tarlow will offer powerful images for how to make implementing ideas as interesting as designing them. They will introduce a model that they believe underlies every journey of
practical manifestation. Once you know the model, the path into practical action gets a lot easier. The second part of the evening will involve experiential exercises designed to expand your horizons of how and where you
create new business directions.
Throughout the evening the Tarlows will share their optimistic views for the future of the multimedia field based on the trends they see in the business world. They are firm believers that the artists will increasingly drive the future of business and they will show you why. They are authors of new book titled Digital Aboriginal: The Direction of Business Now-Instinctive, Nomadic and Ever-Changing (Warner Business) and consultants to Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and lone entrepreneurs.
Mikela is the lead writer and has an extensive social science research background. She has worked on grants for the National Institute of Justice, National Institute of Mental Health, National Institute of Education, Institute of Justice, Institute of Management, FEMA and Research for Social Change. She has Masters degrees in both Psychology and in Education and completed her doctoral work in applied anthropology at Columbia. She has always had a passion for the future, is a relentless optimist and is dedicated to weaving a powerful and visionary story of the future. Philip is also an international recognized fine artist with work in major museum, corporate and private collections in the US and Europe. The Tarlows are also offering a one day seminar Nov. 2 at the Oakland Museum. NBMA has arranged a $25 Discount for anyone who registers by calling the toll free number 866-259-7386 (not available online). Get the seminar PDF description by clicking on: the Digital Aborginal Experience. If you also attend their Oct. 24 evening workshop and register for their seminar that night you will receive a $35 discount. This is a new Special Interest Group. We hope to build a core group of people to attend with the flavor of a salon atmosphere allowing new people to drop in. Come and help create the new Creativity In Action Salon.
