The next The next SFDIG event is scheduled Tuesday, September 6th, and features SFDIG’s very own Clark Omholt of Spectraflow discussing Expert Inkjet Printing Techniques. Topics covered will include:
- Driver-based printing: How can I get professional-quality results printing from Photoshop to my inkjet printer without spending a dime on a RIP or custom ICC profiles?
- Inks: Dye-based vs Pigment-based inks. Which is the cat’s pajamas?
- K3: How are the new Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks different from the old Ultrachrome inks, and what’s new in the 4800/7800/9800 driver?
- Metamerism: Why do my prints have a pink cast under fluorescent lights and what can I do about it?
- Dryback: Is that my imagination or did the colors in my print shift within 24 hours of being printed? What can I do about this?
- RIPs: What’s a RIP anyways, and why would I want one?
As usual, the meeting will be held at Blue Sky Rental Studios (2325 3rd St, Suite # 434, see www.blueskysf.com for directions) in San Francisco.
Pizza and soda at 6:30, and the meeting proper will be held from 7-9 PM. More Info |
